		Can mean deep pessimism and feelings of being bound or unable to do anything about a negative situation. ...Lex carries the dark past of his family name heavily on his shoulders. "I'm used to people judging me before they get to know me." he tells Clark. Pa Kent is the reason for this comment. Poor Lex can't even shake his hand without Pa getting all gruffy and nasty. Darn you Pa, can't you see your just pushing Lexy into an abyss of common black symbolism?
