Saved from the snow and ice of their previous location in Northern England (see pic) by art historian Eli Burns, the bricks of Humpty's wall are on permanent display in the museum's west room on the first floor.

The rough and cold bricks suggest the tragedy of Humpty's fall, and the stark realism of death itself.
